Peter Cumbo

Peter Cumbo: Principal Cast

Peter is a founding member of The Eclectic Improv Company. In addition to his work on the comedy stage, he is a producer of creative media such as film, television and commercial video. Peter travels regularly as a consultant to major corporations through his company, Cumbo, Inc. He is in demand as a speaker and motivator, delivering transformational seminars and workshops to leaders in a variety of industries. He has produced major live events locally, across the United States and internationally. If you listen carefully, you may notice his voice featured in various local and national commercials (and other places voices are heard). He has a cat, Melvin, whom he feeds several times a month.

 

Don Gervasi

Don Gervasi: Principal Cast

Don has taught and performed Improv comedy for over 18 years and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto. You may have seen him in Awake and Sing! for Jewish Repertory Theatre, Twelve Angry Men for Kavinoky Theatre or perhaps in recent AAA commercials. He is also a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States.

 

John Kreuzer

John Kreuzer: Principal Cast

John has been an improviser for 15 years, and has been with The Eclectic Improv Company from day one. John is an actor with several local stage credits. He was featured in the comedy film Release The Funny by Littleflick Pictures and appeared nationally in a comedy short on Monday Night Football. Speaking of football, you can see John on the "jumbotron" at Ralph Wilson Stadium in an ad for NOCO. John also sings and plays guitar in local rock band, Jump The Shark.

 

Todd Benzin

Todd Benzin: Principal Cast

Todd Benzin, a founding member of The Eclectic Improv Company, has been performing with the group off and on over the last several years. Todd got his start in improvisational comedy in 1995 and has performed in the Greater Niagara Frontier region, Kansas City, Chicago, and Toronto. In Toronto, he graduated from the prestigious Second City Conservatory in November of 2000. In addition to being an improviser, Todd is also a professional actor in Buffalo, having played at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, the Irish Classical Theatre, MusicalFare, the Kavinoky Theatre, Road Less Traveled, Ujima Theatre, and others. He was nominated for an Artie as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for the 20+ roles he played in Sisters of Swing: The Andrews Sisters Musical at Musicalfare. When not working full time, acting, or improvising, Todd plays guitar and sings in the three-time Best of Buffalo winning band, the Skiffle Minstrels.

Steve Petersen

Steve Petersen: Featured Guest Improviser

Steve has been performing improv since he was 15. His Milwaukee high school team won the first ever ComedySportz Meaningless Cup tournament. He was on Harvard's group On Thin Ice while in college. While in grad school at Michigan he formed his own group, Tilt. While on a postdoc in Kalamazoo his improv group Crawlspace Eviction made a mockumetary that premiered at the prestigious AFI Fest in Hollywood. Locally, he is improvising with The Eclectic Improv Company, performing with Shakespeare in Delaware Park, and commuting to Toronto to take classes with the Impatient Theater Company.
