WHAT IS THE COMEDY MACHINE?
We are. And we need you to power it up, because our show is improvised from beginning to end. That means we have no idea what the show will be about. That's right...we are planning a show and we haven't a clue what we are going to say or do. But don't be nervous. We've done it thousands of times.
We are a Comedy Machine that takes your ideas and turns them into clean, clever comedy right before your eyes.
We play games that are amazingly fun to watch, and make up hilarious scenes, melodies and songs that have never been heard before and will never be heard again.
Todd got his start in improvisational comedy in 1995 and has performed in the Greater Niagara Frontier region, Kansas City, Chicago, and Toronto. In Toronto, he graduated from the prestigious Second City Conservatory in November of 2000. In addition to being an improviser, Todd is also a professional actor in Buffalo, having played at Shakespeare in Delaware Park, the Irish Classical Theatre, MusicalFare, the Kavinoky Theatre, Road Less Traveled, Ujima Theatre, and others. He was nominated for an Artie as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical for the 20+ roles he played in Sisters of Swing: The Andrews Sisters Musical at Musicalfare.
In addition to his work on the comedy stage, Peter is a producer and director of creative media such as film, television and commercial videos which have been broadcast across North America and around the world. He travels regularly as a consultant to major corporations through his company, Cumbo, Inc. He is in demand as a speaker and motivator, delivering transformational seminars and workshops to leaders in a variety of industries.
Don has taught and performed Improv comedy for over 19 years and is a graduate of The Second City Conservatory Program in Toronto. You may have seen him in Awake and Sing! for Jewish Repertory Theatre, Twelve Angry Men for Kavinoky Theatre or perhaps in recent television commercials. He is also a proud member of Actors' Equity Association, the union of professional Actors and Stage Managers in the United States.
John has been an improviser for over 18 years, and has been with The Eclectic Improv Company from day one. John is an actor with several local stage credits, most recently in the New Phoenix Theatre production of Peter Pan. He was featured in the comedy film Release The Funny by Littleflick Pictures and appeared nationally in a comedy short on Monday Night Football. John also sings and plays guitar in local rock band, Last Shot.
We are collaborating with Buffalo's own THE ALBRIGHTS to add a completely new musical dimension to the Comedy Machine. Together with The Eclectic Company, they will improvise brand new songs they've never played before. It's going to be awesome!
